Community Immersion

The Community Immersion Program serves as a supportive work environment, similar to the Community Work Program, however the entire service day is spent in the community:

• Clients work in community businesses and are supervised by job coaches throughout their work days.
• Jobs typically range from 1-3 hours per day, and are often in the retail, food service, janitorial and manufacturing.
• Clients spend both work and leisure time in the community.

In this program, Opportunity Services provides the following:

• A supportive environment to help realize the goal of independent employment.
• Work teams consisting of clients with different skills, working together to accomplish a job.
• Targeted jobs that meet the needs and desires of our clients.
• 100-percent community integration.
