Because we care, we recognize and appreciate that clients, parents and businesses all have certain needs and expectations from their relationship with Opportunity Services.
We feel it's important to address those needs from the start, ensuring each party that Opportunity Services is dedicated to serving their best interests.
Clients can expect to:
- Be recognized, respected, and appreciated for their own unique gifts, talents, and contributions
- Receive assistance in obtaining employment including locating and applying for a job, getting good job references, practicing interviewing, training and ongoing job coaching
- Enjoy meaningful work experiences in normal work environments whenever possible
- Earn an income as a working adult
- Be supported in all their efforts at all times
- Be given the opportunity to learn job and social skills that will lead to their personal success and sense of achievement
- Expect safe, secure and timely transportation to and from work
- Receive encouragement, counsel and training for as long as it is desired
Parents can expect that:
- Work experiences for those with developmental disabilities will be similar to those of their non-disabled peers
- Training will be provided on-site in the environment where the work will be performed
- Training is respectful of the individual's specific capabilities, in accordance with the employer's needs
- Each individual is shown respect and treated with courtesy in a safe environment
Businesses can expect:

Opportunity Services has been in business for over 30 years. We are licensed in the State of Minnesota to develop and provide job support for people who want to work in the community. We were most recently CARF accredited in October 2005, which means that we meet national standards for providing community employment services.
